About Casablanca
Casablanca serves as Morocco's largest city and premier economic powerhouse, situated along the central-western Atlantic coast with an urban population exceeding three million residents. Operating primarily as a destination port rather than a turnaround point, the harbor inaugurated a brand new cruise terminal on September 18, 2025. This modern facility features an expansive 650-metre quay, three passenger boarding bridges, and a dedicated maritime station located just one kilometre from downtown, with complimentary shuttle buses ready to transport visitors directly into the city centre.

Known historically as Anfa before a sixteenth-century Portuguese invasion, the city evolved significantly after a 1515 fortress was established, followed by eighteenth-century foundational port expansions under Sultan Sidi Mohammed Bin Abdellah who named it Addar Al Beida, or Casablanca. Falling under French control in 1912, the city expanded rapidly as a port of colonial extraction and now showcases one of the world's most extensive collections of striking Art Deco architecture.
Dominating the urban skyline is the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, recognized as Africa's second-largest house of worship and home to the world's tallest minaret, accommodating tens of thousands of worshippers across its grand interior and courtyard.
